Laura, a graduate of Miami
University with a degree in English Literature and a minor in
Theatre History, served as a Development Officer at the Tony
Award-winning Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park for six years.
Laura credits the Playhouse with providing her with a
great deal of hands-on experience and access to some of
the greatest arts administration minds in the Midwest.
Laura was a founding member and officer of the League of Cincinnati Theatres (LCT), serving
as its President from 2003-05, increasing LCT’s membership,
incorporating the organization and spearheading their 501(c)3
application process.
Over the past several years,
Laura has been privileged to work in various volunteer
capacities with numerous area theatres, including Cincinnati
Shakespeare Company and the Know Theatre Company. Laura served
with Cincinnati’s Arts Services Office’s Business Volunteers
for the Arts program for several years, volunteering on both
the Advisory Board and the Application Review Team. In 2003,
Laura was noted as one of Citybeat Magazine’s "The Next
Influentials." In 2006, she was invited to join the Ohio Arts Council's Arts Access Review
Panel, and will begin partnering with Cincinnati's Fine Arts
Fund to offer fund-raising Seminars in early spring of
2007. A member of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber,
American Association of Grantwriting Professionals and the
Association of fund-raising Professionals, Laura lives in
Clermont County two small but assertive dogs, Zoe and Connor,
and the very forceful spirit of her furry companion of 16
years, Dora.
