GRANT WRITING
Grantwriting is frequently one of the first funding options to fall through the cracks at many organizations, due to a number of factors.  Staff shortages, the research required to identify the appropriate funders, the sometimes overwhelming scope of grant applications and reporting, the time-intensive nature of grantwriting itself, and the fact that grantors do not generally provide immediate response to organizations are some of the most common reasons. Granted by Everhart can assist you to fill these gaps, consulting with your organization, utilizing needs assessments and brainstorming workable solutions, as well as cultivating goals and objectives. I will match project needs with available funding and prepare and write documents for submission. Once the grant proposal is submitted, if desired, I will assist you to keep in contact with grant-making organizations during their review of a submitted grant application in order to be able to supply additional supportive material. If needed, I can also manage the process of supplying progress reports when required by a grant-making organization that has funded a project or program.

SERVICES

  • GRANT FUNDING RESEARCH: “Just because you can doesn’t mean you should.” Just because you have the ability to seek grant funding from a specific foundation, corporation, or government funder doesn’t mean the opportunity is a good fit for your organization. It is key to conduct the appropriate research. Granted by Everhart will research funders and match your program or project to the appropriate funding opportunity. Resources utilized include subscriber-based databases, online-searches, print resources, the public listings of similar nonprofit donors, and a variety of other public records.
  • GRANT DEVELOPMENT Ideas into plans. I will brainstorm with you to convert your ideas and concepts into a workable and concrete program. A wonderful plan isn't so wonderful if it can't be translated into a workable, sustainable program a foundation would want to support. I will work with you to be certain that your project is fully thought-out and developed before submitting it to a funder.
  • RELATIONSHIP BUILDING: It is important to remember that "people give money to people - not institutions." Personal contact increases the likelihood of winning a private grant award. I will assist you in developing working relationships between your organization and foundation staff members.
  • GRANTWRITING: Put your program or project concepts into writing and transform them into a grant request that the funding institution will support. Basic grantwriting ensures that the project is clearly outlined, well-supported and well-documented, meets funder guidelines and is accurate. Most grants require the same basic components, but when funders received many more applications than they can fund, the standout project will catch their eye. Exceptional grantwriting will bring the project to life for the funder.
